In October 2022, common Asian cowpea (<i>Vigna nakashimae</i>) powdery mildew disease was investigated at Yesan-gun, Chungcheongnam-do, Korea (36°40’12.7"N,126°51’36.4"E). The mainly occurred on the front of leaves, and weak back side leaf. chasmothecia identified Analysis internal transcribed spacer rDNA sequence 28S large subunit sequence, along with morphological characteristics anamorph teleomorph causal fungus as <i>Podosphaera xanthii</i>.
